The lens was perfectly clean in all its parts.

 

In good condition in all respects.

 

Specimen examined; it was found to be clear & free from all objectionable matter.

 

Free from gummy or burnt oil, clean & the wicks well trimmed.

 

Burner was found to be slightly out of level.

 

Clean & free from scratches & stains.

 

It was on; was clean; made of linen sheeting & kept in the lantern room when not in use.
